Australia’s Top 3 Safest Cars

Australasian New Car Assessment Program is commonly known as ANCAP released annual ranking, and Tesla made 2 out of the top 3 safest cars in Australia. Two of the models in the list are Tesla’s Model X and Model 3.

The top three cars in the list of safest vehicles by ANCAP for 2019 were Mercedes-Benz CLA holding number 1 position with a score of 90.2%, followed by Tesla’s Model X (98.6% score) and Model 3 (98%).

“The Model X received a record-equalling high score of 98% for Adult Occupant Protection, with full points awarded for the protection of the driver in all four of the full-scale crash tests – frontal offset, full-width, side-impact, and oblique pole,” said ANCAP chief James Goodwin.

James Goodwin tells CleanTechnica about the highest Safety Assist scores recorded to the date by Tesla’s Model X and Model 3. These cars are ahead by all other vehicles on the list of 2019. Talking of the safety ratings are based on a series of internationally recognized independent tests and safety checks. Types of the tests involve a range of destructive physical crash tests, examinations of on-board safety features along with equipment, and also performance testing of active collision avoidance technologies.

It seems that Electic vehicles are getting better not only in terms of making the environment safe for all livings but also priorities safety. This safety feature provides another reason why consumers should be more into buying electric vehicles.

Speaking about the demand for Electic vehicles, its increasing day by day; however, the supply is limited, and companies like Tesla Motors, Coda Automotive, and others working continuously to fill the gap. The recently unveiled Cybertruck and Model Y of Tesla’s seems to be a product of the future.

Well, considering the growing trend of people showing interest in an electric car/truck is a good sign, and with companies focusing on the Safety of users, this trend seems to grow.
